Frequently Asked Questions – AIEEE 2009

 Q1. Photo pasted without Name & Date or Date & Name has been written manually.

 A. Form will not be cancelled, if name & date has not be written by the candidate on Photo.

 Q2. Photo not attested. Queries.

 A. Form will not be cancelled, if one photo is duly attested. Q3. Photo pasted colored.

 A. Form will not be cancelled.

Q4. Form not attested by Gazetted officer/Principal of Institution.

 A. We shall accept duly attested either by Gazetted officer/Principal. Q5. Candidate has used Gel Pen/led pencil instead of Ball Pen.

 A. It is mandatory to fill form by Ball pen.

Q6. For Column No. 8, filled by male candidate or darken/mark the option. A. Form will not be cancelled.

 Q7. For Column No. 17, “course” wrongly filled by candidate.

 A. Correct course must be intimated by the Candidate to the Board, otherwise candidate will be allowed to appear in filled up course only.

 Q8. Applicant passed XIIth in 2006 but appeared for improvement in 2007 will be eligible or not.

 A. Candidate passed in 2006 but appeared for improvement in 2007 onwards, form be rejected as they are not eligibility to appear in AIEEE 2009.

 Q9. While submitting on-line application display occurs; the payment not submitted, server down, confirmation page not received, forget their registration no.

A. Provision has been made to retrieve the Regn. No.

Q10. Candidate studying / appearing from other state & seeks 1st center choice in different state.

 A. Center will be fixed within four choices by the candidate as far as possible.

Q11. While filling on-line application alphanumeric roll no; not accepted. A. Provision has been made to accept alphanumeric Roll. No.

 Q12. Candidate filled Father name in place of mother name.

A. Particulars of the candidates will be displayed on AIEEE website at the earliest possible for verification by the candidate. Candidate may check their status on CBSE website and send corrections on proforma generated on website.

Q13. Whether filling of all 4 choices for center are compulsory?

 A. Yes, every effort will be made to allot the Center within choices as for as possible.

 Q14. While filling state code, which state is applicable ? Where they are studying or by which they are belongs? A. State code of eligibility is that from where the candidate passed/appearing in class XII. However, in case of candidate studying in foreign country, their state code of eligibility will be their birth state in India, subject to production of domicile certificate from the competent authority before Central Counseling board.

 Q15. Wrongly filled Sex status or any other option, then ask, what action to be done?

A. Candidate may check their status on CBSE website and correct accordingly as mentioned in column 12 above. Q16. Column of thumb impression left blank. A.  is mandatory.

RULE OF CENTRAL COUNSELLING BOARD FOR AIEEE 2009

As per the direction of the MHRD 50% of the seats in NITs will be filled

from AIEEE eligible candidates of States where NITs are located and

rest 50% will be filled on All India Merit basis. MHRD will make efforts

to establish NITs for those States/UTs which do not have NITs as of

now. In case, the new NITs are not established before the start of

admission based on AIEEE 2009, seats will be made available for the

eligible students of such States/UTs which do not have any NIT, so

as to keep the number of seats for such States/UTs at the level of

2007, after making due adjustment for the number of seats filled by

eligible candidates of these States/UTs.
